About the Role An established manufacturer and supplier of precast concrete products is seeking an ambitious, energetic and self-motivated Sales Representative to join its team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new business opportunities while maintaining strong relationships with an existing customer base. This role requires a confident and professional salesperson with proven experience selling paving bricks, kerbs, bollards, manholes and other precast concrete products. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills, together with the ability to plan, prioritise and manage sales activities independently. Key Responsibilities Maintain relationships with existing customers through regular sales calls, meetings and customer visits. Identify, approach and secure new customers within the assigned market. Introduce and promote the company's full range of precast concrete products. Develop a strong understanding of the company's products and their applications. Attend customer site meetings, product meetings and industry-related appointments. Deliver product samples to prospective and existing customers when required. Gather market, competitor and customer information and report relevant insights to management. Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records on the company's CRM and accounting systems. Prepare and record customer orders accurately. Follow up on quotations, orders, deliveries and outstanding customer requirements. Record customer visits, interactions and sales activities on the relevant internal systems. Develop a clear understanding of each customer's business, projects and product requirements. Proactively identify opportunities to promote and sell the full product range. Consistently achieve and exceed agreed sales targets. Monitor market trends and identify opportunities for product or service improvements. Assist with office-based sales enquiries, quotations and tenders when required. Participate in occasional Saturday marketing campaigns or overtime when necessary. Perform additional reasonable duties as requested by management. Requirements for the Candidate Minimum Grade 12/Matric qualification. A proven and verifiable sales record within the precast concrete, paving, construction materials or closely related industry. Practical knowledge of paving bricks, kerbs, bollards, manholes and other precast concrete products. Valid driver's licence. Own reliable vehicle is preferred due to the travelling requirements of the position. Strong business development, prospecting and customer relationship management skills. Excellent negotiation, influencing and closing abilities. Professional, presentable and confident when dealing with customers. Excellent telephone etiquette and written and verbal communication skills. Strong planning, organisational and time-management abilities. Ability to prioritise tasks and work effectively under pressure. Good knowledge of the surrounding geographical and customer areas. Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel. Experience using Pastel, Sage Evolution, Sage 200 or a similar business management system would be advantageous. Strong command of English. Afrikaans, Sesotho or isiZulu would be advantageous. High level of integrity, accountability and responsibility. Hard-working, loyal and committed to completing tasks accurately and on time. Willingness to learn and continuously improve product and industry knowledge. Willingness to complete an integrity assessment as part of the recruitment process. ***Salary - R28,000 CTC (Negotiable, based on skills, experience and in relation to current package) Desired Skills: Sales Representative
