Local Service - Key Account Manager

Our client is a globally recognised manufacturer of world-class filling and packaging systems serving the beverage and liquid food industries. They are looking to appoint an experienced Local Service Key Account Manager who has extensive experience within the packaging machinery industry. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys combining technical expertise, customer relationship management and commercial acumen within a highly specialised engineering environment PLEASE NOTE Applications will only be considered from candidates with proven experience in: Packaging machinery Liquid filling equipment Hard packaging applications Customer-facing technical service or aftermarket support Candidates whose experience is limited to general FMCG production, manufacturing processes or plant operations without direct exposure to packaging machinery unfortunately cannot be considered. Key Responsibilities Reporting to senior management, you will be responsible for: Growing the after-sales service business Building long-term strategic customer relationships Acting as the primary customer contact for all service-related matters Conducting customer visits and service reviews Providing technical advice regarding maintenance strategies, upgrades and equipment improvements Managing service projects, overhauls and maintenance programmes Preparing quotations and service agreements Coordinating internal departments to ensure outstanding customer service Managing SLA implementation and contract compliance Supporting new equipment installations from a service perspective Monitoring customer satisfaction and resolving service issues Following up on quotations, purchase orders and overdue accounts Managing warranty claims, complaints and service-related documentation Minimum Requirements To be considered you should possess: Relevant tertiary qualification (Engineering, Technical or similar) Minimum 5-10 years' experience in a technical sales, service or key account management environment Proven experience within the packaging machinery industry Demonstrated exposure to liquid filling technologies Experience with hard packaging equipment Strong customer relationship management skills Commercial and contract management experience Excellent communication and negotiation skills SAP experience MS Office proficiency Ability to travel locally and internationally Valid driver's licence Highly Desirable Experience Candidates who have worked with manufacturers, OEMs, system integrators or service organisations supplying packaging equipment into industries such as: Beverage Food Dairy Brewing Soft Drinks Bottling Pharmaceutical Packaging Liquid Food Personal Attributes The successful candidate will demonstrate: Exceptional customer focus Strong technical aptitude Commercial awareness Excellent planning and organisational ability High attention to detail Ability to work independently Strong problem-solving capability Professional communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities A collaborative team approach Desired Skills: Strong technical aptitude Exceptional customer focus Ability to manage multiple priorities
