A well-established company in the East Rand is seeking a Bookkeeper / Junior Accountant to join their finance team. Minimum Requirements Matric (Grade 12) Relevant Finance or Accounting qualification advantageous 3–5 years' experience in a finance administration, cashbook or accounts payable role Experience with bank reconciliations and creditor reconciliations Strong understanding of accounting principles Experience with payment processing and cash flow planning Computer literate with strong Microsoft Excel skills Experience on an ERP or accounting system Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail Strong organisational and time management skills Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines Key Responsibilities Capture, maintain and reconcile daily cashbook transactions Perform daily bank reconciliations and resolve outstanding or suspense transactions Maintain accurate financial records and general ledger entries Manage accounts payable and perform monthly creditor reconciliations Ensure supplier statements reconcile with the accounts payable ledger Process supplier payments accurately and within agreed deadlines Prepare monthly payment schedules and assist with cash flow planning Distribute proof of payments to suppliers and the accounts payable department Manage intercompany account reconciliations Assist with banking administration and financial record keeping Support accounts receivable and stock administration where required Prepare weekly and monthly reports on stock, cash flow and financial information Ensure all finance-related documentation is accurate, complete and filed correctly Work closely with internal departments to ensure efficient financial operations Desired Skills: bookkeeper accountant Bookkeeper to trail balance Junior accountant
