Our client is a respected supplier of industrial process instrumentation and automation solutions, servicing a broad range of industries including mining, chemical, manufacturing, water treatment, food & beverage and energy. They are looking for an enthusiastic and results-driven Sales Engineer to grow their customer base and provide innovative measurement and control solutions. This role offers an excellent opportunity to combine your engineering knowledge with your passion for sales while representing a high-quality portfolio of process instrumentation products. Key Responsibilities Develop new business opportunities and grow existing customer relationships within the assigned territory. Consult with customers to understand their process requirements and recommend fit-for-purpose instrumentation and automation solutions. Promote a range of flow, level, pressure, temperature and analytical instrumentation products. Conduct customer visits, technical presentations, product demonstrations and application evaluations. Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support, including product selection, sizing, configuration and troubleshooting. Prepare quotations, technical proposals and tender submissions that meet customer specifications. Build strong relationships with engineers, maintenance teams, production managers, project engineers and procurement departments. Maintain an accurate sales pipeline, customer records and forecasts using the company's CRM system. Monitor market trends, competitor activity and emerging technologies to identify new business opportunities. Work closely with internal technical and support teams to deliver exceptional customer service and project success. Minimum Requirements Qualification in Instrumentation, Electrical Engineering, Process Engineering or a related engineering discipline. 3-7 years' experience in technical sales, process instrumentation, industrial automation or a related industrial environment. Proven success in achieving sales targets and developing long-term customer relationships. Sound understanding of industrial process measurement and control applications. Ability to interpret P&IDs, process flow diagrams, datasheets and technical specifications. Strong presentation, communication and negotiation skills. Self-motivated with excellent problem-solving and consultative selling abilities. Valid driver's licence with reliable transport and willingness to travel extensively to customer sites.
