About the Role: Our Client is seeking a dynamic B2B Trade & Sales Consultant to drive inland sales growth in the fats and oils sector. This role requires a sharp instinct for trading, strong commercial acumen, and the ability to navigate tenders where margins are tight and competitive advantage is critical. Responsibilities: Trading instinct: Monitor commodity prices daily (twice per day) and leverage market movements to secure profitable deals Tender participation: Prepare, negotiate, and manage tender submissions, ensuring competitive pricing strategies that win new business Customer development: Build strong relationships with food manufacturing clients, distributors, and food service operators, positioning our Client a trusted partner Margin optimisation: Identify opportunities where small pricing differences can secure customer onboarding and long-term loyalty Market intelligence: Gather, analyse, and present insights on competitor activity, pricing trends, and customer needs to inform strategic decisions Promotional activity: Support trade shows, exhibitions, and marketing initiatives to enhance brand visibility and customer engagement Operational coordination: Collaborate with logistics, credit, and internal teams to ensure smooth execution of sales contracts and customer satisfaction Requirements: Minimum 5 years' experience in FMCG B2B sales, preferably in fats and oils Proven ability to work with tenders and competitive pricing models Strong analytical and negotiation skills with a trading mindset Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) Ability to travel inland regularly and work independently Commercially driven with a passion for trading Results-oriented, agile, and adaptable to market shifts Diplomatic, empathetic, and customer-focused Innovative thinker with strong problem-solving skills KPIs: Achievement of revenue and margin targets Successful tender wins and new customer onboarding Accurate, timely market intelligence reporting Strong customer relationships and repeat business Desired Skills: FMCG Sales B2B Sales Analytical skills Communication skills Closing Deals Tender experience Pricing models Customer Focus Edible oils and fats Margin targets Desired Work Experience: 2 to 5 years Food & Beverage Manufacturing 5 to 10 years Representative / Sales Consulting Desired Qualification Level: Diploma
