A leading multinational industrial equipment and machinery solutions provider is seeking an experienced and technically strong professional to join their team in Amanzimtoti area. The purpose of this role is to drive equipment sales and service delivery while achieving divisional targets, ensuring the overall success and profitability of the Machinery department. This role focuses on building strong, trust-based relationships with customers and suppliers, identifying win-win opportunities, and delivering proactive solutions through open communication and timely problem-solving. The ideal candidate will execute tasks with integrity, demonstrate innovative thinking, and contribute as a positive, engaged member of the management team. Requirements: Degree/Diploma/Beng/BSc Mechanical or Electrical qualification N6 Certificate or equivalent Engineering qualification would be advantageous Minimum 5 years Project Management and Sales Experience Industry Knowledge in both Automotive and Non-Automotive Sectors Basic understanding of Machinery used in Automotive and Non-Automotive Industries Computer Literacy: Intermediate MS Office Good knowledge in reading technical drawings would be advantageous Ability to quote for projects by visiting sites and conducting technical assessments Key Responsibilities: Achieve divisional sales targets with no loss to Gross Profit. Ensure accurate and timely billing of projects, spares, and services. Identify and develop new business opportunities, with a focus on annuity revenue streams. Conduct budget variance analysis, implement countermeasures, and prepare monthly sales and profit forecasts. Build strong customer understanding through regular visits (office, factory, and site) to secure RFQs and deliver exceptional service. Assess project requirements on-site, provide accurate technical quotations, and support resolution of customer concerns. Offer ongoing consultation for projects and spare parts through daily liaison. Manage the full project lifecycle, including planning, contract administration, site management, cost/schedule control, and commercial closure. Manage international and local contractors while ensuring specification clarity between suppliers and customers. Deliver projects with strong focus on schedule, cost, safety, and customer satisfaction. Oversee end-to-end supply chain and logistics (approx. 90% imports, 10% exports). Coordinate shipping and project schedules to ensure timely delivery. Support international visitors and contractors (including after-hours when required). Promote agency products (industrial robots, injection moulding equipment, pumps, and pneumatic parts). Build strategic supplier and customer relationships to drive new opportunities. Propose process improvements for internal and external operations. Prepare bi-weekly and weekly reports on sales, customer activity, and operations. Ensure compliance with SOPs, Code of Conduct, and Safety First (Anzen) standards with zero incidents. Provide team support, on-the-job training, and performance management. Support special projects and attend training for self-development. Be available for after-hours and weekend duties during seasonal projects.
